He is survived by: his child Keirstin; his wife Chrystal Rico; his child Ryder Harkleroad; his parents, Dave Pickle and Gail Pickle; his brother Justin Rico; his grandparents, Jerald of Logan, Ruth Pickle of Logan and Jan Boatman (Earl Allen) of Wickenburg, Arizona; his uncles, Jim Boatman (Jody) of Washington State, John Boatman (Rhonda) of Washington State and Mike Pickle (Lori) of Logan; and his sibling's children, Johnna Schaefer and Shane Schaefer. He is also survived by numerous aunts and cousins.

“Ryan's mom Gail and I have been lifelong friends. We were pregnant together in 1978 and gave birth on the same day, August 9, 1978! Ryan was born 5 hours before my daughter BreeAnna and we new mom's were hospital roomies together! We moved away to Alaska but I have remained in contact and have wonderful memories of all our times spent together with our young kiddo's busy playing!
