She was predeceased by : her parents, James Swailes and Helen Swailes (Dvorak); her husband Norman D. Shalla; her brothers, Ernest Swailes (Norma), Donald Swailes (Margaret) and Richard Swailes (Mary Ann); and also Kiefer Grout.
She is survived by : her children, Jan Riggan (Kenny) of Riverside, Darlene Neal (Bill) of Iowa City, Helen Baker (Lowell) of Lone Tree and Don Shalla (Linda) of Riverside. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established for Trinity United Methodist Church in Riverside or Lone Tree Pioneer Park Memory Care.
