He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Rayner and Frances L. Rayner (May); and his brothers, Ronald and Gerald Rayner. He is survived by: his wife Betty of Hills; his children, Patricia Wagner (Clark) of Westfield, David Rayner (Becky) of Royal and Mary Rayner of Deephaven, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Alex Rayner, Sam Rayner (Abby), Hannah Wagner (Jim), Caitlin Wagner (Jeremy), Tori Labernik (John), Emma Wild (Andrew), Lily Wagner, Colin Rayner and Peyton Rayner; his great grandchild Oliver Wild; his brother Donald Rayner (Jean) of North Liberty; and his sister-in-law Janice Rayner of Iowa City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Maynard.
