He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward J. Schlapkohl and Zora Schlapkohl (Fesmire); his siblings, Henry Schlapkohl and Helen Lenz; his brother-in-law Jim Lenz; and his nephew Robert Lenz.
He is survived by : his wife Virginia Irene Droll of Lone Tree; his children, Jerry Schlapkohl (Sue) of Nichols, Kathy Colbert (Steve) of Riverside, Chris Cole (Randy) of Riverside, Susan Schott (Larry) of Riverside and Teresa Wyatt (Jeff McDowell) of Lone Tree; his grandchildren, Stacey Cole (Mayko Caudel), Jeremy Cole (Carrie), Jill Colbert, David Schott (Sherri), Tom Schott (Joslin), Heather Roller Holly (Tony Motyko) and Bobbie Wyatt (Marty Farmer); his great grandchildren, Cole, Giselle, Logan, Lynde, Stetson, Carter, Nolan, Paisley, Layne, Charlie, Davin and Bennett; and his sister-in-law Maxine Schlapkohl of Bella Vista. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lone Tree Fire and Rescue in memory of Bill.
