He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Schocker; his granddaughters, Lillian and Isabelle; his son Jonathan Burmeister (Marleine) of North Liberty; his siblings, Sally Schroeder (Jim), Sue Burmeister and Robert Burmeister (Bonnie); and his sister-in-law Barbara Burmeister.
