It is with sadness that the passing of Dan Baker of Lucas, Iowa is shared. Dan, born on June 21, 1948, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Baker and Wilma Baker (Kent); and his parents-in-law, Ivan and Mona Evans. He is survived by: his wife Pat Baker; his children, Erik Baker (Neco), Missy Swarthout (Mike) and Joe Baker (Carmen); his grandchildren, Travis Scovel, Ethan Swarthout (Tressa), Erin Ilyenko (Sam), Drew Swarthout (Ally), Cash Swarthout, Maddie Long (Paul) and Samantha Werts (Kinser); his great grandchildren, Oliver, Devyn and Mikhail; and his siblings, Holly Tesar (Larry) and John T. Baker (Cathy). He is also survived by many nieces, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home - Chariton (914 Roland Ave, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
