He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Rodgers and Maxine Rodgers; his son Todd Rodgers; his sister Connie Churchhill; his siblings-in-law, Ruby Flanders, Debbie Brown, Larry Flanders, Terry Flanders, Rick Flanders, Denny Jones, Rick Brown and Dave Bianchi; and his nieces and nephews, Marsha Barton, Brenda Barton, David Churchill and Wade Flanders.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Rodgers of Humeston, IA; his children, Wayne Conway of Melrose, IA, Chad Rodgers (Kathileen) of Urbandale, IA, Jake Rodgers of Humeston, IA and Amanda Rodgers of Humeston, IA; his siblings, Carol Musick (Bill) of Chariton, IA and Chuck Rodgers (Barb) of Humeston, IA.; Dixie Bianchi of Norwalk, IA, Sharon Jones of Derby, IA and Lori Flanders of Plano, IA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home (914 Roland Ave, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be received by the family and designated at a later date.
