Lena leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lena’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Lena will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She is survived by: her children, Lorrie Kinser (Michael), Marva Kemper, John Kemper (Karmel) and Mary Grismore (Jeff). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended relatives.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home - Chariton (914 Roland Ave, Chariton, IA 50049). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (407 N Main St #401, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the family to be designated at a later date.
