The passing of Eugene Thomas Lennie Jr. of Luzerne, Iowa, born in Tama, Iowa leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 20, 2025 at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Thomas Lennie, Sr. and Marlis Jane Lennie (Smith); his siblings, Sandra Mitchell, Bruce Lennie and Kevin Lennie; and his pet Sam.

He is survived by: his sons, Ben Lennie (Melissa) of Keystone, IA, Nicholas Lennie (Amy) of Colo, IA, Curt Lennie (Sara) of Overland Park, KS and Eric Lennie (Michelle Burken) of Cedar Rapids, IA.; his sisters, Cheryl Bowden, Candi Howell and Dawn Vest; his wife Diane Lennie; and his grandchildren, Kaydn, Colby, Kayla, Emma, Addison, Sydney, Kenna and Greyson. He is also survived by his family, friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service (1704 7th Ave, Belle Plaine, IA 52208). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Masonic Lodge #175 (805 11th St, Belle Plaine, IA 52208).

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in Tom's memory.

“This is Kim Pecenka. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Tom driving the bus of wrestlers to so many places. Kids all loved him. Tom and I used to have our talks when he would come to clinic for blood draws. He always had a smile and never complained even if I could tell he was feeling ill. He was just a genuine guy whom we all loved to see. I am so sorry for your loss Diane. Tom always talked about family and he was the proudest and boasted the most bout kids and especially grands. My prayers are with you.”
