He is survived by: his wife Linda Bates of Macedonia, IA; his children, Andrew Bates (Katie) of Sandpoint, ID, Branden Stoural (Kelsi) of Ord, NE and Kimberly Chupp (Kris) of Bozeman, MT; his grandchildren, Wilder, Scout, Rueger, Golden and Bluebelle Bates of Sandpoint, ID; his children, Joshua, Elijah, Isaac Stoural of Ord, NE and Harvie Chupp of Bozeman, MT; his siblings, Beverly Simonton (Kelly) of Atlantic, IA and Scott Bates (Linda) of Minneapolis, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Querry (Linda) of Red Oak, IA and Nancy Roed (Dave) of Burlington, IA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
