He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Mathew and Velma Mae Harney (Bullington); his children, Vicki and Jimmy; his siblings, Larry Harney and Kay Mueller; and his granddaughter Shawna Gottschalk.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Donny Harney (Barbie) of Woodward and Joan Schumann (Billy) of Ames; his brother Ed Harney (Kayla) of Woodward; and his stepchildren, Christine Barrow, Julie Graham and David Snider. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Assumption Catholic Church (1906 Sycamore St, Granger, IA 50109). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at the Beaver Catholic Cemetery (19283 T Ave, Dallas Center, IA 50063).
