She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucille Oresta Anderson (Fazel) and Emmitt Anderson; her husband Jim Hicks; her great great grandchild Christopher Steven Adams; her siblings, Harold Anderson and Rose Chambers; and her siblings-in-law, Lester Hicks, Bruce Hicks, Brenda Brown, Winona "Nonie" Roberts and Iola Bainer.
She is survived by: her children, Annette Adams (Albert) and Roger Hicks (Kristie); her grandchildren, Sir Adams (Amber), Cory Adams (Christi), Brannon Adams (Trinity), Kristen Wolfe (Aaron) and Nathan Hicks; her great grandchildren, Abigail Adams (Mulongo), Siranna Adams, Kira Adams, Anastasia Adams, Seraphina Adams, Lilianna Adams, Tommy Adams (Alexis), Izzy Adams, Israel Adams, Ruthie Adams and Rayna Adams; and her siblings-in-law, Barry Hicks (Patty), Shirley Anderson and Carolyn Wachter. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory - Perry Chapel (1721 Park St, Perry, IA 50220). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home – Perry Chapel (1721 Park St, Perry, IA 50220).
