With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darlene Frances Goodchild (Mallard, Iowa), who passed away on August 20, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Ferguson and Nona Ferguson (Crouch); and her brothers, Dale and Lyle. She is survived by: her husband Jim Goodchild; her children, Mike Goodchild (Janel), Michelle Poplin (Jerry) and Angie Ward (Kelly); her grandchildren, Shelby Childs (Dominic), Shannon Sullivan (Martin), Brooke Frymire (Jay), Kassie Honey (George), Bryce Poplin, Ashley Pelzer (Matt), Abby Day (Calvin), Andrew Ward (Hannah) and Aryn Setterburg (Wyatt); and her sister Verlae Nicol. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
