With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Wortman (Malvern, Iowa), who passed away on October 7, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Patricia departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Patricia may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Patricia leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett Melvin "Joe" and Mary Straight (Wittwer); her husband Merritt; her brother Richard Straight; and her brother-in-law Daniel Taylor.
She is survived by: her son Joe Wortman of Hastings; and her sisters, Jean Ballain (Marlyn) and Delma "Mickey" Taylor of Star Harbor, TX.
