It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Candice Holdridge of Manchester, Iowa, who passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Short and Doris Short (Goltz); her husband Oscar Holdridge; her son Steve Swanson; her sister Kris Short; and her stepbrother Terry Ohmann.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Krause (Barb) of Waverly and Jennifer Heath (Brad) of Oceola; her stepdaughters, Joy Lynn Maples of Earlville and Leanne Holdridge (Jon Shilha) of Platteville, Wisconsin; her sister Connie Shaw of Arkansas; and her stepsiblings, Carol Knockle of Peosta, Betty Schrobilgen of Florida and Rick Ohmann of Iowa City. She is also survived by five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren.
