He is survived by: his wife Doris Scovel of Manchester; his children, Jay Scovel (Lori) of Manchester, Julie Ridgley (Craig) of Eldridge and Jill Wachal (Jeremy) of Iowa Falls; and his sisters-in-law, Ellen Ketelsen of Clinton and Ida Mae Ketelsen of Ankeny. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren.
