We bid farewell to Janet Ann Gaffney of Manchester, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 30, 2025 at the age of 95. Janet touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Pierce and Elizabeth "Bess" Pierce (Morrissey); her husband Charles Gaffney; her grandparents, Mike, Nell Morrissey, Lester and Rose Pierce; her half-sisters, Kay Kerpon and Sue Gilbert; her aunt Rose; and her uncle Herb McClintock.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Conrad (Dick) of Marion, Jim Gaffney (Lupé) of Glendale and Mary Milroy (Kevin) of Silver Spring, Maryland; her grandchildren, Scott Conrad (Lisa), Sara LeMosy (James), Erin Bailey, Megan Schuett, Bethany Titman (Danny), Alexa Milroy (Ken Benjes), James Gaffney and John (Raphael Figueroa); her great grandchildren, Alex Conrad, Savannah Bailey, Evan Bailey, Connor Schuett, Carter Schuett, Everett LeMosy, Colin LeMosy, Nathan Titman and Elizabeth Rose Titman; and her brother-in-law Nick Kerpon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (119 W Fayette St, Manchester, IA 52057). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery North Franklin (119 W Fayette St, Manchester, IA 52057).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred by the family.
