He is survived by: his wife Josephine Bachman of Manchester, Iowa; his son Tyler Bachman (Rachel) of Sugar Grove, Illinois; his stepchildren, Nick Dowling (Grace) of Temecula, California, Linsey Dowling of Naperville and Annie Dowling of Lombard, Illinois; his siblings, Verna McNeal-White (Ken) of Urbandale, Iowa and Travis Bachman (Nancy) of The Villages, Florida; his sister-in-law Beth Bachman of Waverly, Iowa; his siblings' children, Lauren McCool (Conner) of Des Moines, Iowa and Adam Barth (Allie) of Urbana, Iowa; and his extended family, David, Cathey Barth of Robins, Ann Bachman-McIntosh and Scott McIntosh of Aurora, Illinois..
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the American Legion Ross Reid Post #9 (108 1st St SW, Oelwein, IA 50662).
