He is survived by: his children, Joseph Taken (Patty) of Springfield and Jennifer Kritz (Keith) of Edgewood; his grandsons, Benjamin Taken of St. Louis, Jacob Taken of Kansas City and Jacob Kritz of Edgewood; his great grandchildren, Cheyanne and Jeramiah Kritz of Edgewood; his siblings, Barbara Schnipkoweit and Almore Taken (Betty) of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings-in-law, Don Vertz of San Francisco, California and Arline Taken of Surprise, Arizona. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
