He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Nefzger and Angela Nefzger (Schustersich); his wife Margaret Nefzger; his daughter-in-law Diane Lynn Nefzger; his brother Patrick Nefzger; his brother-in-law Joseph Werner; and his in-laws, Joe, Martha Nachtmann, Rita, Ronald Palmer, Norbert Nachtmann, James and MaryLou Nachtmann.
He is survived by: his children, Dianne Hauschild (Charles Yedlik) of Vinton, Dennis Nefzger of Vinton, Marvin Nefzger of Earlville, Armella Thompson (Chuck Huff) of Bloomington and Roberta Nefzger (Leon Wickman) of Manchester; his grandchildren, Kristopher Nefzger (Lacy Woodward), Eric Johnston (Aubrey), Jennifer Terrell (Eric), Colton Nefzger (Leah Neiers), Bethany Steichen, Nicholas Habel (Jenn) and Jenna Bandy (Luke); his sister Carmen Werner of Earlville; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Nachtmann and Linda Nachtmann.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Leonard-Muller Funeral Home (1500 N Franklin St, Manchester, IA 52057). Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (307 South St, Delhi, IA 52223). A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:15 AM at the St. John's Cemetery North Sixth (604 6th St, Delhi, IA 52223).
