He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Hansen and Clara Hansen (Fromm); his sister Linda Rae; his close friend Dean Vennink; and his pet Star.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Hansen of Manilla; his children, David Hansen (Christina Studt) of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Kristi Hansen-Goodrich (Chad) and Marsha Hansen; his grandchildren, Alexis, Dawson, Andy and Addie; and his sister-in-law Mary Ellen Kelley (Perry). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
