He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Thorell (Scott) of Manning and Lynn (Karen) of Manilla; his granddaughters, Laura Olson, Jessica Warneke (Brandon Harrison), Katelyn Hodne (T. J.) and Jackie Blackwell (Steven); his sister Sharon Sass (Charles) of Urbandale; and his fiancée Linda Schnuettgen of Denison. He is also survived by her children; and many other family members and friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Nishnabotna Cemetery. A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Manilla Memorial Hall (550 Main St, Manilla, IA 51454).
