We bid farewell to Gary Smith of Manly, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 29, 2026 at the age of 92. Gary touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Smith and Margaret Smith (Hawkins); his wife Norita Smith; his parents-in-law, Frank and Doris Goerke; his siblings, Jack, Robert, Barbara, Betty, Donald and Mona; his sisters-in-law, Elaine Wornicki and Eleanor Groomes (Frank); and his niece Theresa Holly.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Smith (Amy), Grant Smith (Kymari) and Rhonda Bruxvoort (Dave); his grandchildren, Cameron (Carissa), Rachel, Conner, Dillon (Jess), Samson, Max and Jack; his great grandchildren, Julia and Dawson; and his niece Karen Wornicki. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Pioneer Town & Country Club in Manly.
