He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Montgomery and Dorothy Montgomery (Miller); his wife Avis Montgomery; and his brother-in-law Roger Hedegard. He is survived by: his sister Kay Hedegard of Plymouth, Iowa; and his children, Peter Montgomery (Kristy) of Lake Mills, Iowa, Christopher Montgomery of Paragould, Arkansas, Jay Montgomery (Angela) of Monticello, Minnesota, Heidi Brown (Chris Cowden) of Des Moines, Iowa and Jon Montgomery (Tatiana) of Mason City, Iowa.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews.
