With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norita Smith of Manly, Iowa, who passed away on January 22, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Goerke and Doris Goerke (Witt); her parents-in-law, Harry and Margaret Smith (Hawkins); her sisters, Elaine Wornicki and Eleanor Groomes (Frank); her siblings-in-law, Jack, Robert, Barbara, Betty, Donald and Mona; and her niece Theresa Holly.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Smith; her children, Scott Smith (Amy), Grant Smith (Kymari) and Rhonda Bruxvoort (Dave); her grandchildren, Cameron (Carissa), Rachel, Conner, Dillon (Jess), Samson, Max and Jack; her great grandchildren, Julia and Dawson; and her niece Karen Wornicki (Smith). She is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
