Betty leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Betty’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles H. Wooster and Anna Wooster (Fossell); her brothers, Richard and Charles Jr.; her husband Clyde W. Thomson of Merrill's Grove Baptist Church; and her son James.
She is survived by: her daughters, Marcia Lanzen (Gregg), Julie Hall (Carl), Kristi Troyer (Bryan) and Sara Stracke (Phillip); and her sister-in-law Joanne Wooster. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (224 2nd St, Manning, IA 51455). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at the Nishnabotna Cemetery.
