She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Haberl (Ben) and Genevive Haberl (Daniel); her husband Leo Willenborg; her daughter Patty Axman; her great grandchild Grace Marshall; and her siblings, Alvin Haberl, Marlind Haberl, Donald Haberl and Joleen Bauer.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Willenborg (Dianne), Ron Willenborg, Linda Wolf (George), Kathy Puck (Ben), Steve Willenborg (Barb), Lori Schreck (Keith), Ken Willenborg (Christy) and Theresa Nash (Rod German); her son-in-law Terry Axman (Kathie); her siblings, Rita Bruch, Norma Jean Anthofer, Bernie Haberl, Erwin Haberl (Mary-Jane), LeRoy Haberl (Carol) and Ed Haberl (Annette); and her in-laws, Elaine Huelshorst and Ardella Willenborg. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (203 Sue St, Manning, IA 51455). A rosary will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 7:15 PM at the same location. A prayer will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 7:15 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the family, who will allocate them to the organizations that held the most meaning for Darlene.
