Though Geraldine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Geraldine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Dammann and Ruby Dammann (Cavanaugh); and her brother Kenneth Dammann. She is survived by: her husband Ken Spies of Manning; her children, Tammy Vorheis (Cary) of Iowa City, IA, Paula Spies of Templeton, IA and Kendall Spies (Lindsay Pellett-Jensen) of Manning; and her grandchildren, Andrew Taylor (Gabriella), Mariah Spies (Jordan) and Dylan Spies (Paola). She is also survived by siblings, extended family members, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the The Spies Farm (13789 300th St, Manning, IA 51455).
