He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Graves and Bernice Graves (Hinz); his parents-in-law, Carl and Marie Brus (Jahn); his grandson Jacob Graves; and his brothers-in-law, Edward Rolhfs and Alan Lorenzen.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Brus; his sons, Denis Graves (Marcia) of Jefferson, Dean Graves of Stratford and David Graves (Rochelle) of Rincon, Georgia; his sister Joan Rolhfs of Virginia; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Lorenzen of Manilla. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
