He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Kuhl and Alice Wilhelm-Jahn; his parents-in-law, Arthur and Dorothy Talbott; his brother Gene Kuhl; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Kuhl.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Peters of Crowley, Texas, Scott Kuhl (Tia) of Inverness, Illinois and Sara Wagner (Aaron) of Batavia, Illinois; his grandchildren, Dillan, Meghan, Morgan Peters, Cameron, Davyn, Ty, Raquel Kuhl, Weston, Hope and Kaden Wagner; his great grandchildren, Piper Mosby, Jaycee Peters and Jameson Peters; and his close friends, Darlene Vollstedt and Vickie Steffes. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1914 Rd M47, Irwin, IA 51446). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 5:30 PM at the Manning Hausbarn Heritage Park Konferenz Centre (130 Heritage Drive, Manning, IA 51455).
