He is survived by: his wife Joanne Bates; his children, Stephanie Gaylor (Jeff), Kristine Carlson, Elijah Carlson and Caleb Carlson (Rochelle); his grandchildren, Triston, Aliyah, Joseph, David, Jessica, Oliver and Ruby; and his siblings, Dale Carlson and Rachel Miller.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Faith Community Church (54952 290th Ave, Palmer, IA 50571).
