He was predeceased by : his parents, Jean Kenning (Janetta) and Jack Kenning; his brothers, Joseph and Timothy; and his nephew Matthew.

He is survived by : his significant other Akiko Kawamura; his daughter Julia Mihoshi Kenning; and his siblings, Mary (Thomas), Dale, Theresa Keenan (Jerry), Linda (Michael), Charles (Norma) and Ronald (Karla). He is also survived by fourteen nieces and nephews, several grand nieces and nephews, many cousins, and many friends.
