She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Thul and Mildred Thul (Barmore); her husband Richard Holst of Fort Dodge; her siblings, Linda, Sharon and Alan; her parents-in-law, Martin and Bernice Holst (Steen); her brothers-in-law, Darrel Jones, Fredrick and David Holst; and her grandparents, William, Jane Barmore, Casper Thul and Helen Thul.

She is survived by: her children, Melissa Holst of Manson, IA and Bryan Holst of Dickinson, ND; her grandchildren, Kolby Wilson of Iowa City, IA and Tristen of Ames, IA; and her sister Deb Jones of Pocahontas, IA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family for a memorial bench at the Good Samaritan Society in Manson.
