She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. Pelz and Amelia Pelz (Tjaden); her husband Eldon Freese; her siblings, Eleanor "Sis" Hess, Mary Meister, Lorene Leman, Bette Van Gundy, Morris, Paul and Harold Pelz; and her daughters, Faye Smart and Shannon Freese.
She is survived by: her children, Doug (Mickey) of Foley, MO, Peggy, Jeremy (Rebecca McDonald) of Palo Alto, CA, Sandy Jones (Jim) of Manson, IA and Peg Freese of Roland, IA; and her siblings, LaVerne Pelz of Manson, IA, Shirley Ahlrichs of Storden, MN, Verna Grant and Janet Anderson of Rockwell City, IA.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
