He is survived by: his son Scott Jacobson (Andrea Burgess) of Mapleton, IA; his grandchildren, Avery, Jalee, Liam, Caitlyn, Natalie and Marli; his siblings, Sheldon Jacobson (Peg) of Mapleton, IA, Pam Clausen (Bob Kaus) of Holstein, IA and Pat Petersen (Denny) of Danbury; his brothers-in-law, Ronnie "Ron" Ladwig (Tricia) of Ida Grove, IA and Ricky "Rick" Ladwig (Valerie) of Ida Grove, IA; his parents-in-law, Melvin and Helen Ladwig; and his brother-in-law Dale Clausen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Armstrong - Van Houten Funeral Home - Mapleton (210 S 5th St, Mapleton, IA 51034). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church (504 Walnut St, Mapleton, IA 51034).
