He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Bock (Owen) and Wilmer Bock; his in-laws, Marvin and Helen Anderson; his siblings, Larry Bock and Marlis Horgen; his siblings-in-law, Fran Bock, Ronald Anderson, Leroy Anderson, Philip Anderson and Darryl Horgen; his nieces and nephews, Michele Foley, Hillary Lynch and Steve Bock; and his great-nephew Nolan Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Anderson; his daughter Marisa Heefner (Matt) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Devon Foley of Boston, Ryan Foley of Plymouth, Jace Heefner and Jack Heefner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his son-in-law Kevin Foley of Plymouth, Massachusetts; his sister Beverly Beachler of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and his siblings-in-law, Marcia Hardy (Phil) of Decorah, Madeline Widel (Terry) of Maquoketa, Jean Anderson of Fort Madison, Mark Anderson and Marvin Owen Anderson of Maquoketa, Iowa. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home Order Flowers (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church (1019 Wesley St, Maquoketa, IA 52060).
In lieu of flowers, do something Blaine would approve of: fix something that's broken, help a neighbor, take a spin in a classic car, or just stop and talk to someone—he'd have wanted that.
