He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Charles and Margaret Louise Ruff (Taylor); his wife Berneta Marie Hettrick; and his siblings, Floyd, Clarence, Jack, Betty, Irma and Frances.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Ruff (Lenna) of El Paso, TX, Terry Ruff (Lola) of Iowa City, IA and Carla Huebbe (George Turpin) of Maquoketa, IA; and his brother Chuck Ruff (Liz) of Chicago, IL.
