Ellen left this world on December 1, 2025 at the age of 54, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her mother Arline Paulsen (Whitton). She is survived by: her father Darrell Paulsen; her siblings, Maria Miller (Bruce) of Iowa City, Lisa Ivey of Chicago, Ann Paulsen of Cedar Rapids, Brent Paulsen (Camille) of Chicago and Frederick Paulsen (Vicky) of San Ramon, California.; and her siblings' children, Nathan, Marisa, Claire, Danielle, Sarah, Catherine and Alecia.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (903 Main St, Lost Nation, IA 52254).
