He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. "Tad" Farrell and Marie M. Farrell (Foster) of Delmar; his wife Mary; and his brothers, Kenny, Donny, Pat, Mike and Aloysius.
He is survived by: his son Jim; his in-laws, Joe (Debbie) of Clinton, Jim (Nancy) of DeWitt, Paul (Carolyn) of Ankeny, Phil (Kris) of St. Charles, Anne Peterson (Chris) of Delmar, Tony (Teresa) of Ankeny and John Kennedy-Farrell (Megan) of Evanston, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Melissa (Oswan), Elizabeth (Grant), Sara (Nick), Tracy, Will (Allie), Darcie, Megan (Ryan), Madison (Matt), Ryan, Kailey, Dylan, Hunter, Jack, Ava, Kate, Katie (Mike), Erin (Jacob), Meredith, Tommy, Emily, Connor, Aidan, Maura and Lucas; his sisters, Judy Farrell of Marion and Mary Noel (Edmond) of Wheatland; his siblings-in-law, Joyce McAndrew of Andrew, LuAnn Farrell of Clinton, Doris Dutton, Yvonne Hunter, Patricia Marcil, JoAnn Irwin, Gloria Bahr and Craig Simmons; Patsey Farrell and Jan Farrell. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Carson Celebration (318 W Pleasant St, Maquoketa, IA 52060). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (405 Delmar Ave, Delmar, IA 52037).
