It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Marie Baresel of Maquoketa, Iowa, who passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry R. Ostert and Maudie M. Ostert (Ralston); her husband William E. "Bill" Baresel; her daughter Jodi Dodds; her brothers, Dwayne, Darrell and Charlie Ostert; and her son-in-law Bruce Heuer.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Baresel (Lori Palmer) of Andrew, IA, Pam Burckart of Maquoketa, IA and Brenda Tranel (Ken) of Cuba City, WI; her son-in-law Rodney Dodds of Spragueville, IA; her grandchildren, Crystal, Cayla, Chad, Brandon and Alisha; her great grandchildren, Claire and Camden; her sister Phyllis Brinker of Maquoketa, IA; and her siblings-in-law, Joan Ostert of Maquoketa, IA, Zulma "Sue" Ostert of Maquoketa, IA and Jim Baresel of Camanche, IA..
