She was predeceased by: her parents, Mathias Franzen and Mary Franzen (Dwyer); her siblings, Anna Marie "Rea" Wagner, Marcelene Eganhouse, Margaret "Rosalie" Franzen, Vincent, Martin, Jerry, Leonard and James "Jim" Franzen; and her son-in-law Jacob Brewster.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Hughes (Kay) of Des Moines, Curt Hughes (Valerie) of Atkins and Angie Brewster of Davenport; and her siblings, Edward "Butch" Franzen (Marie) of DeWitt, JoAnn Reiter of Anamosa, Wayne Franzen (Julia) of Maquoketa, Marvin Franzen (Barb) of Maquoketa and Patsy Wagner (Orville) of Delmar. She is also survived by four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
