He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Ruden and Florentine Ruden (Schreier) of Marcus; his son Jeff; his brothers, Jim and Pete; his brother-in-law Phil Schroeder; and his grandchildren, Jerrica and Aiden.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie of Marcus; his children, Roger Ruden (Susanne) of Pleasant Hill, Karla Ruden of Ames and Daniel Dizon (Ding) of San Diego; his daughter-in-law Teri Phelan-Ruden (Jeff) of Waukee; his siblings, Rich (Debbie), Margie Schroeder, Fred, Ron (Nadine), Denny (Bonnie) and Kathy Steffen; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Ruden and Wendy Hauschildt (Keith). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Old Panhead Restaurant & Lounge (314 N Main St, Marcus, IA 51035).
