She was predeceased by: her mother Donna Mae Koch; her niece Alyson Koch; and her in-laws, Marlo and Dorothy Matthes. She is survived by: her father Dennis Koch; her husband Mike Matthes; her son Matthew; her daughter-in-law Jodi; her son Michael; her grandchildren, Ellie, Jenna and Marcus; her siblings, Karla Koch (David Towle), Paul Koch (Lora) and John Koch (Kim); and her sisters-in-law, Maxine (Daryl) and Mary Lou (Bud). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church of Conroy (2504 175th St, Marengo, IA 52301). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials can be directed to the family for later designation in Denise's name.
