With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marlene G. Mantz of Marengo, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 2, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Marlene may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer William and Laura Caroline Martens (Timmerman); her husband Gaylord; and her sister LaVera Wiedemeier. She is survived by: her daughters, Jaynell Stearns (Gary) of Amana and Jeanette Nickell (Ken) of Shakopee, MN; her grandchildren, Jon Stearns (Jaclyn), Kayla Stearns, Ryan Nickell and Austin Nickell; and her great grandchildren, Carter and Callah Stearns.
