Robert S. Smith Obituary

We announce the death of Robert S. Smith of Marengo, Iowa, who passed away on July 17, 2026, at the age of 79. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Smith (Mosdell) and Robert G. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Heitman; his children, Jeffrey Smith (Ciara) of Walford and Megan Russell (Shane) of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; his grandchildren, Caleigh, Taylor and Jaden Smith; and his children, Reese, Elle, Louisa Martin, Catherine, Caroline, Patrick and Finn Russell.

A Memorial fund has been established for the English Valley Care Center Activity's Fund and The First Presbyterian Church in Marengo.
