As we bid Bernita farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Bernita is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril Howes (Mary) and Mary Howes (Kilpatrick); her son Kevin; her husband James; and her brother-in-law Dale Schwartzhosf.
She is survived by: her sons, Kirk Simmons and Kyle Simmons; her grandson Riley Simmons; and her sister Marie Schwartzhosf. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
