He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Frederick and Donna Belle Fick (Schmidt); his granddaughter Chelsea Fick; his brother Kent Fick; and his nephew Kent Simpson.

He is survived by : his wife Barbara Jean Robinson of Marion; his sons, Bryan Fick (Nichole "Niki") of Raymond and Anthony Fick (Stephanie) of Highland Park, Illinois; his grandchildren, Makaela (Dustin Moran), Avery, Annie and Jackson Campbell; his siblings, Keith Fick (Beverley) of Oskaloosa and Diane Simpson; and his sister-in-law Sandra Trei of Adel, Iowa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 9:30 AM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (3500 29th Ave, Marion, IA 52302).
