He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Bliss and Margaret Bliss (Robison); his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Wittenburg, Arlene Wear, Virginia Roths, Walter Uthoff and David Uthoff; his son David; and his granddaughter Rowan.
He is survived by: his children, Dean Bliss (Julie) of Cedar Rapids, Sandi Bliss of Texas, Dan Bliss (Dawn) of Marion, Sue Bliss of Marion and Sara Schobert (Kirk) of Marion; his sister Joan Leso (Tom); his sisters-in-law, Dolores Rawson, Berti Rhinehart and Marjorie Beatty; his extended family, Arlene Walters (Scott) and Tina Kearns (Dave); Kitty. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
