She was predeceased by: her husband Robert H. Pool; her granddaughters, Staci and Amy Rettenmeier; and her parents, Jesse Lorts and Anna Lorts.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Rettenmeier (Dale) of Hiawatha and Ron Pool (Heidi) of Ames; her grandchildren, Luke Pettipoole (Megan) of Omaha, Nebraska, Benjamin Pool (Cara) of Denver, Colorado, Ryan Pool (Rachel) of Austin, Texas and Jordan Pool of Ames; her great grandchildren, Beatrix Pettipoole, Xanthe Pettipoole, Elijah Pool, Weston Pool and Sawyer Pool; her brother Jesse M. Lorts; and her sister-in-law Rosemary Lorts.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial may be directed to St. Mark's Methodist Church.
