We announce the death of Edith May Winistorfer of Marion, Iowa, who passed away on August 6, 2026, at the age of 98. Edith will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustave Schwandt and Madeline Schwandt (Clark); her husband Robert Winistorfer; and her brothers, Richard, Carl and Lynn Schwandt.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Winistorfer (Becky) of Lisbon, John Winistorfer (Judy) of Marion, Paul Winistorfer (Jeanette) of Blacksburg, Ann Godar (Steve) of Marion and Carolyn Lochner (Ron) of Ely, Iowa; her grandchildren, Sheryl Monnahan (Shawn), Stacy Winistorfer (Rhonda), Aaron Slager (Darci), Ben Winistorfer, Soren Winistorfer, Jonah Winistorfer, Bethany Mast (Julian), Madeline Godar (Michael Chervek), Meredith Godar, Gage Lochner, Brandon Lochner (Rowan) and Rachel Lochner; and her brother David Schwandt (Carolyn) of Earlville, Iowa.. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
